They’re on a Roll, Folks!
Any sports fan knows the joy and pains of rooting for their home team; you gather all your friends for the big game, put out all the snacks, and hope your lucky t-shirt secures a win! But for all the heartbreak that inevitably comes, is there anything better than your team on a hot streak? We didn’t think so—come with us as we look at the longest winning streaks in NBA history.
1. Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers are no strangers to record-breaking, but their 1971-72 season may have just been one of their coolest landmarks. If you can believe it, this superstar team once had a 33-game hot streak, and they hold the title of longest streak in the league.
2. Golden State Warriors
As impressive as the Lakers’ record is, the Golden State Warriors actually weren’t that far behind with their numbers. During their 2014-15 season, they picked up 28 wins. They definitely had some close calls throughout the year, but they also managed to sweep other teams by dozens of points!
3. Miami Heat
Fans of the Miami Heat know what it means to be a devoted viewer. These guys consistently bring their A-game, and the 2012-13 season was no different! That season alone scored them one game below the Warriors, with an overall 27-game win.

4. Houston Rockets
Houston certainly skyrocketed its way to broken records in the 2007-2008 season! Chock full of superstars and incredible offense, these guys secured 22 wins in a row, coming in just shy of the numbers teams would set a few years later.
5. Washington Capitols
Can you believe that some NBA records go back to the 1940s? Well, believe it! Back in the 1947-48 season, the Washington Capitols managed to nab 20 wins in a row—a serious feat back in the day, and even now.
